Welcome New Author and Illustrator, Sharon King

Amik, a delightful children’s picture-book, is written and illustrated by Potawatomi educator and Juno-nominated artist Sharon King.

Kegedonce Press is thrilled to announce the publication of Amik, our very first children’s board book! With brilliantly colourful cut-paper illustrations and text in both Anishinaabemowin and English, author and illustrator Sharon King has created a very special book for children and families alike!

Amik tells the story of a busy beaver. During the course of one day, the beaver works on his dam, surrounded by nature and the activities of various other creatures. At the end of the day, amik returns to be with his family. Amik is a story about the environment, and is a fun, colourful and educational book for children ages three through six.
