Congratulations to Kelsey and Cole

FELICITATIONS!

We’re coming into May’s home stretch, and the Saugeen Peninsula is aburst with colour and greenery under the Flower Moon. It’s also the time when many awards are announcing their shortlists, and here at Kegedonce we’re smiling ear to ear over the news that Kelsey Borgford and Cole Forrest have been shortlisted for the 2025 Indigenous Voices Award for their moving poetry collection, Once the Smudge Is Lit!

Big congratulations are in order to Kelsey and Cole for this achievement. We’ll find out June 21, when the announcements will be made. For more information, check out https://indigenousvoicesawards.org/
